Hot Stone Massage Brighton
Deep Warmth That Melts Tension Away
Brighton has a specific kind of damp cold that settles into the bones, whether from the seafront wind or a winter commute through Hove or Hanover. These stones shift that chill, warming the tissue from the inside out. I offer hot stone massage in Brighton as a standalone treatment or an add-on, making it one of my most popular options from October through to March.
Sometimes muscle tension runs too deep for hands alone. Hot stone massage uses the penetrating warmth of heated basalt stones to reach a level of relaxation that standard bodywork can’t match.
What Is Hot Stone Massage?
Hot stone massage uses smooth, water-heated volcanic basalt stones as an extension of the therapist’s hands. These natural stones retain heat perfectly, allowing warmth and pressure to be applied directly to the muscle tissue.
Heat relaxes muscle fibers faster and more deeply than manual pressure alone. This enables effective work into the tissue without the need for heavy pressure, resulting in a treatment that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing.

Who Is Hot Stone Massage For?
Hot stone massage is a good fit for almost anyone. If you want the most deeply relaxing massage possible, find heavy pressure uncomfortable, or carry chronic muscle tension that never quite lets go, this treatment was made for you. It’s also ideal if you’re feeling overstimulated and need a proper sensory reset, or if you’re an athlete and want something gentler to support your recovery.
What to Expect During Your Session
Your session starts with a short consultation. I’ll ask about any health conditions or areas of concern before we begin.
You’ll lie on the table covered by towels throughout. Stones are placed on key areas of the body including the back, shoulders, and legs while I work on other areas. The stones are then used directly on the skin with oil, gliding and pressing into the muscle in the same way hands would.
The temperature is always checked and monitored throughout. The stones should feel deeply warm and comfortable, never uncomfortably hot. If at any point the heat feels too intense let me know and I’ll adjust immediately.
